Beach Wedding Dress
"Alias" star Jennifer Garner and her husband hunky Ben Affleck got married in the Caribbean islands. Jennifer was wearing a designer gown. Chances are, this was customized to be appropriate for a beach wedding.
Beach weddings are said to be informal compared to the traditional church wedding. If you are having a beach wedding, then you do not need those poufy headpieces or the formal skirts. What you need is a casual and sleek style that will go well with the laidback scenery of the sands, the shores and the sun.
But that is not to say that just because you are having your wedding in a beach, it would mean that it is less glamorous or less special than the one held n a church. A beach wedding only entails that you will have to wear a different gown or dress.
We suggest that you try an informal wedding dress. One that would look elegant and classy even if you have your back behind the ocean. Elegance and class must be enough and not go over the top. Informal wedding dresses have many different designs and styles.
You can go for a strapless top or a halter. You can go for those with sleeves if you choose to be covered and protected from the sunlight. Just make sure that the gown is slim and flowing. Any length is acceptable.
Beach wedding dresses are often casual so you don't really need a veil. But if you want to at least be traditional in that sense, choose a veil that matches the gown you are wearing. It may be an informal one since the gown is also informal to begin with. You can wear rhinestones, flowers or barrettes, even a headband.
Your hairstyle does not have to be that elaborate. If you have long hair, then have it flowing down or you can have it pulled back by using a chic ponytail. Make sure that it's not simple. Get those ones that have flowers or pearls.
Since you are wearing a simple wedding dress for the beach, you may want to wear simple footwear to go with it. Besides, you wouldn't want sand in a $400 strappy Manolo Bhlahniks you've saved up for. There are beach brides who choose to be barefoot. There are others who wear stylish flip flops or satin pumps.
Now since you are having a beach wedding, you have to consider the weather. Check whether the weather on your wedding day be beautiful. Why? Because the ocean may have a lot of impact on the wind, therefore blowing your dress or your veil around.
Some options to remedy this scenario is to wear a hat. Just make sure that it pinned securely. Then there is the possibility of being too chilly. It really depends on the time of the wedding as well as the month. If your wedding attire is strapless or backless, just be sure that you can handle the crisp wind.
Finally, flowers. If you're worried that the floral bouquet you are carrying are more formal than what you are wearing, then just get those simple ones. A few white roses or some lilies that are tied with a satin ribbon are enough. Bear this is mind though – the flowers must complement your wedding dress!
